When we last left Gawain, he and his teammates from the Japanese Camelot Academy arrived in England to compete against the British and American academies for the Camelot Cup. And Gawain realizes that he may be a bit over his head. Now for season 2 of Rising Impact.

Gawain has a lot to prove. Players on the other team doubt him and treat him quite rudely. But Gawain’s talent and optimism win them over. Although he and other characters all begin to deal with self-doubts. Also, an injury seems to have changed Gawain as a person. There also seems to be a bit of a mystery about his past.

Lancelot also faces challenges, as do new characters Tristian and Quester. The result is a no-holds-barred competition which pushes all to beyond their best and an exciting finale.

If there is a drawback to season 2, it’s that there are times when our golfing buddies seem to defy the laws of physics. But since I already accepted the possibility that a 8-year-old can outcompete players twice his age, I suppose bending the scientific laws of the universe is not too much to accept.

Rising Impact is a series for the whole family. The hero is a young boy whom many children can identify with, and the storyline contains complex interpersonal conflicts and self-discovery which should interest many adults. It has no profanity, nudity, or anything which a parent would object to having a young kid watch. Oh, there is a bit of blood, but no violence either. Season 3 of Rising Impact is a possibility.
