I once attended a reception in what was supposed to be a haunted theater. A bunch of us went into the theater seating area just to look around. A few workmen were busy there and we asked if they ever saw the ghost. They said that they did feel her presence sometimes. It was all in my mind, but I did start feeling a bit of a chill and started seeing shadows move in the darkness. Of course it was all in my mind.
Once I stayed in an historic hotel in western Maryland. I later found out that on one of the floors a ghost could be heard howling. I never heard him, but I won't stay in that hotel ever again. Not because of the ghost, but because there was no soap in the bathroom. When I asked for some, they could only give me extra bottles of shampoo to wash with.
Sounds disappointing, I know.
