Shojo You've Watched?

Puella Magi Madoka Magica, or as I call it Magical Girls on Acid, is one of the more darker anime series I have seen. The last movie really leaves you hanging. This is not your little sister's magical girl anime.

I’ve watched quite a few shojo series over the years! Sailor Moon was definitely my first, and it’s still a favorite for the nostalgia and iconic characters. Cardcaptor Sakura is another one I loved; it has such a sweet story with amazing magic scenes. I recently watched Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and it was so intense and unique compared to the others.

Did you just watch the series? There were also three movies. The first two were just rehashes of the series, but the third, PMMM: Rebellion, had a completely new story. I wrote about the series and the movies in the review section somewhere.

Would you consider Nana a shojo anime? It is a chick anime, but it is not for young girls. It's more for adults. Can a shojo be for an adult audience?
