The first episode of KonoSuba begins with the hero being killed, so you know this is a comedy. And you can assume that for Kasuma, the worst is yet to come.

KonoSuba is set in a fantasy world of adventure – or at least that is what it is supposed to be. When offered the change to be reincarnated into an alternate reality, where he can be a hero defeating the Devil King, Kazuma jumps at the chance. Only it seems in this alternate reality he still needs to find a way to make money in order to live. This is not exactly what Kazuma had in mind.

But our adventurer is not alone. He has three female companions to assist him on his quest. There is a half-wit god named Aqua. The a powerful mage named Magumin, whose power of explosion magic is a bit of an overkill, not to mention using it once renders her helpless. And finally there is Darkness, a brave knight who admits to having no fighting skills.

KonoSuba goes for the laughs, even in the most dangerous situations. It is not exactly an all time classic, but I was entertained.
