The plot is he got shrunk into a midget by a poison from the bad guys and now pretends to be a kid so they won't come after him again. It's kinda dumb

Maybe I can add Akuma Kun to that list. It's about two young men investigating mysteries surrounding the supernatural. The ending is a bit of a shocker.

I'm not hugely into mysteries for their own sake. You can find out who did it by flipping to the end. Also as an author myself i know the writer KNOWS who did it, so
finding clues is not terribly impressive. I like the ones where there's a convoluted and entertaining trip USUALLY WITH PLENTY OF ACTION AND ADVENTURE, like in Elementry, Sherlock,The MentALIST, pSYCH, Castle High potential, Rizzoli and Isles, and similar. For example I saw this new Watson and am not impressed.

Paranoia Agent and Perfect Blue are great psycho dramas, or as I like to call them, mind-f*cks. Death Note sort of fits that category as well, though its more like an examination of an insane mind.

Death Note is different in that you know who-done-it at the beginning. You just don't know how or if he will be caught. Pluto is a sci-fi mystery.

If you like the Sherlock Holmes style, you might like Master Keaton. The main character is a jack-of-all-trades who can spot the keys to a mystery.
