It's difficult with so many social media platforms, which have eclipsed forums. It's easier said than done.

Forums were good back in the day. People worked up those post counts.. went in to hang out with friends

I do miss a lot of the people that were around at the time I joined.

I had a dream last night about my cell phone. I got tired of it and broke it in two on purpose. It was a nice dream.

BTW, what is it about texting? You have a phone in your hand, so isn't it easier to call? And what is it with the smart phone keyboards? Why are they too small for even Tom Thumb to use?

I think it all became toxic and personal after a point. For every good friend or experience these old forums gave me, they also provided a lot of trauma. People moved on to social media because it is easier to localize and you have some control. I remember places like this always had too many biases regarding the mods. Now you can celebrate anime with the world. I think forums were the high school years before we all grew up.

*Sigh* Well, I don't miss the arguments. It was the anti-point of posting. Debate, great. But flaming? That was bad stew. But most of us care about each other here at AF. We might not be many, but one day - and it's me having a vision - this forum will rise again. It's 2023. There are implications of this site being improved/modernized. I trust the authority figures. It's been a slow process, but I'm excited to see what the future holds for Anime Forum. I really look long-term at things. AF will be like a phoenix elevated from ashes. It might be foolish, but I just don't think this current form of AF is its end. I don't.

There aren't many members around because most of the older ones have families and responsibilities.

I'm quite active on another website because of updating my anime watched list, and that's every day. I'll try to keep in touch here as best as I can from now on. This is my first anime forum after all.
