Favorite Magical Girl?

Homura from Madoka Magica. I personally am a fan of any characters in fantasy genres with time related abilities like Dio and Jotaro from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure or Julius from Black Clover because they are hella cool.

Why do you like her?

I look up to Homura in an inspirational way while seeing parts of myself in her so you can say I feel some sort of resonance. She went through sacrifices and was at a near breaking point but just kept marching on. It is very crappy and corny to use a fictional character as an inspiration instead of someone like David Goggins (lol), but in my early teens and even now as a 19-year-old, there are qualities of Homura where I say "wow, that is a cool aspect of her" and try to adapt a part of it.

Homura is an interesting character. Have you ever seen the last movie, Puella Magi Madoka Magic: Rebellion? The after credits scene, which a lot of people missed, certainly raises more than a few questions. What happened between the final scene before the credits and the scene after?

 

We see Homura dancing around the body of Kyubey. Apparently, she has finally destroyed him. Then she lets herself fall headfirst from the precipice where they were apparently fighting. Some say she was simply jumping to the ground below. But why fall intentionally headfirst? To me, she was committing suicide. It was one of the darkest moments of the Madoka Magica universe.

Utena Hiiragi is a normal, introverted girl with a strong admiration for magical girls, especially the beautiful trio that protect her town, Tres Magia. One day, a mascot named Venalita approaches Utena and gives her magical powers, but rather than becoming the magical girl of justice she always wanted to be, she instead becomes an evil general of the Enormita organization.
