I want to see Belfast, writer/director Kenneth Branagh's semi-biography.

I also want to see The Tragedy of Macbeth, starting Denzel Washington and directed by Joel Coen (Blood Simple, Fargo, O Brother Where Art Thou?, True Grit, Hail Caesar).

Both my picks are in black and white, and I just learned another b/w film is being released this year -- C'mon C'mon staring Joaquin Phoenix.

The House of Gucci sounds interesting, and so does King Richard. But I love b/w photography. There is so much you can do with it that you cannot do so well in color, such as using lighting to set the mood. So before I go see any other film, I will try to catch:

Gonna' see the Steven Spielberg-helmed West Side Story when it's released. Being that I wasn't even thought of when the original came out, this should be a real treat. That, and Baby Driver's in it.

I'm really not into the old musicals, but I would recommend first seeing the original.

Did you know they are planning to do remakes of Fiddler on the Roof and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas? Neither has even been casted yet, so don't get your hopes up too high. Maybe if they both have trouble getting the green light, they could combine their efforts and we can have Fiddler on the Whorehouse?

Or did I make that joke already? Sorry if I did.
