Kill la Kill is one of my favorite dumb, but fun anime series. The plot is not as important as the eccentric characters, especially sweet, little Mako. Did I include her in my most adorable character list? If not, I should have. I have to check.

In Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Kyubey promises eager young girls that he will turn them into magical girls. Only he does not tell them the whole truth. Well, not until it is too late.
And even this is not the whole truth! There are more evil secrets of Kyubey to be revealed.

Well, Kyubey is not exactly evil, right? If a creature can't really feel or sense, how does it know that evil exists? The moral falls more onto the magical girls, but not the contract creature itself, in my opinion. Kyubey just does have a plot in mind and the way to reach the goal doesn't really matter. Or maybe we just try to make Madoka deeper than it should be? Nah, probably not.
Kyubey is an Incubator, whose goal is to use the magical girls as a power source. This would destroy the girls, and enable the Incubators to eventually take over Earth. Plus he intentionally deceives the girls. He knows what he is doing. Kyubey is evil.

Anime is a lot like sex. Done right it's a beautiful act of creation that brings a little more light into the world. If it's sick and wrong... it's even better.

I can't find a decent clip showing how evil Satou really is. There are a lot of videos showing how violent he is, but those scenes don't really show how manipulative and insane he really is. So here is the trailer for Ajin: Demi-Human:
Keep a look out for this friendly face. He is Satou:

So who is the most evil character in anime? No one comes close to Johan from Monster. Clean cut and quiet, he often gets others to do his dirty work for him though psychological manipulation. Here's an example:
Opps! We forgot one! No one mentioned Frieza from Dragon Ball Z. Here he is in one of his nicer moments:
^ What movie? Who are these two? They look like they have had some hard times physically.
It's from Black Clover. They finished the series at episode 170 last year but it was right in the middle of the climax of the final arc for some reason, maybe because of Covid, so they're releasing a movie to finish it off. At least I assume that's what it will be. The three in the picture are called the Dark Triad but I won't spoil anything about them.
I've been watching Black Clover on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim/Toonami, but they haven't gotten that far yet. Actually, the series is beginning to wear on me. That's the problem with these long anime series. They get into a rut and continue to go through the same basic plot over and over. That's what happened with Inuyasha.
Hisoka, from Hunter x Hunter. The first moment you see him you just get that evil vibe... I need to get into the manga someday, even if it may never end.
With me it's the other way around. I liked the first season, and the second. Now I think they are on the third and I am growing weary. Fillers are always a problem, not that I mind when an anime varies from the manga. I don't read manga, so it makes no difference to me. It's just that they can really lose the plot when that happens. It was a problem with Bleach when fillers cut off story lines, and the series never returned to them.
Bleach wasn't so bad. It's just that it could have been better. They had too many loose threads that needed closure.

^ No. Someone somewhere above listed one of the characters of Kill la Kill as evil. I was just commenting on the series overall.
