I was going to start a thread on anime ghost characters when I thought, "Didn't I already do that some time ago?"
So I went back to check, and sure enough there was this thread. Reviewing it I saw on glaring omission -- Makato and Mio from Okko's Inn. Or should that be considered two omissions.
Glory befriends Okko, and Makato and Mio tag along. Only Okko can see them:

I'd say Jack Vessallius in Pandora Hearts. The character is extremely intriguing, even though he was dead long time ago, his involvement gradually becomes more and more important and the revelation in the last arcs is incredible.
Highly recommend checking out the manga if you have the chance. It's already finished.

I just watched the first two episodes of Shaman King, and I will add the character of Amidamaru. He's the 600 year old ghost of a samurai who allies himself the the series' main hero. He is the only character of interest so far. Overall, I don't have much hope for this series, but I will give it a chance for now.
