It's not a bad series. It could go bad if it goes on for too long. There is always the danger of repetition.

Reisner was a former pro boxer who turned actor, writer, and director. He previously worked for Chaplin behind the camera on The Gold Rush. Reisner would later become known as a comedy director working with The Marx Brothers, Jack Benny, and Abbot and Costello, among others.

Maybe it is the premise what crashes on me a little bit. If fire is so dangerous, why do they use it to fight against fire itself? I can predict that it will get out of hand at some point, but... heh.
I am not disliking the series for now, and I will watch the next season whenever it comes out. Hopefully my prediction is wrong, though! Effects so far have been looking beautiful, that's for sure.
