Underused Anime Characters

I think we may have done this before, but let’s list Underused Anime Characters. That is, characters who are interesting and who should have been utilized more.

Tatsuki from Bleach. Early on her character is strongly established. She is a tomboy and a master of martial arts. She can take on anyone and backs down from no one. She promises to be Orihime’s protector. Then she practically disappears. We do see her again every now and then, but never a part of the main plot or a sub-plot.

Mairu and Kururi Orihara from DurararaX2. These twins are the kid sisters of Izaya, which should make them interesting on their own. They intentionally create different artificial personas, and they can take care of themselves pretty well. But they are never part of any storyline.

Michael Lee from Witch Hunter Robin. A computer hacker, he is forced to join the STN-J after hacking into their computer system. He occasionally assists the others with backup work via his computer, but is never developed into a full-fledged contributing character.

Kaide Kaburagi from Tiger and Bunny. The young daughter of Flying Tiger, aka Kotestu Kaburagi, has inherited superpowers, but they are not well developed. (No pun intended.) It would be interesting having her come to terms with her father being a super-hero, and she following in his footsteps, but the series never goes there. Maybe in the second season, which has been promised but not yet delivered.

I don't quite remember this scene, but don't worry Tatsuki fans. She will appear again for 30 seconds about 50 episodes from now.

From DurararaX2!!, Izaya's younger sisters arrive on the scene. Interesting intro, but we won't be seeing much of them.

I think the zanpakuto should be in real form more often in Bleach.

I don't even remember them in their human form, which shows you how underused they were.

I can't find a decent clip of Michael from Witch Hunter Robin or Kaide from Tiger and Bunny. That shows you how underused they were.

Witch Hunter Robis was awful. I mean "Hey we're looking for a witch with one eye. Let's ask that gentleman with one eye if he's seen anything. No? Oh well..."

Witch Hunter Robin was not so bad. I remember it had some great interpersonal relationships which made it interesting.
