What is Windows 10 2004 bringing:
- Passwordless logins: There is nothing nicer than an OS, that simply knows when you are going to log-in, and does it for you by using your face, fingerprint, PIN number or even your phone (the last two you have to input yourself of course);
- Unwanted app blocking: Ever got a link to an app you've never heard about, yet it does the magic you need? Don't trust it and Windows will make sure you won't;
- More ლ(╹◡╹ლ): Who doesn't like emojis? These are always welcome ;
- Better performing games: with more DirectX12 API optimizations;
- Improved Notepad: Hard to believe, but it's true. Microsoft put some love into the 30 years old Notepad. There’s now wrap around find/replace, quick text zooming, and when you see an asterisk in the title bar you’ll know you have unsaved changes. NEAT!;
- Cortana Experience: If you like to use Cortana, the new and improved user interface will be a welcome addition.
If you want to read more about what's inside, here and here is an extensive list of new features.
As per usual, the update will be available in stages, so don't worry, if you didn't get it yet. It will come ... eventually.
