How do you deal with the end of an anime, manga you love?

Do you know the feeling of sadness, when you finished a series or an manga.
You know its over and its never coming back (at least not within years)

It always feels to me like I lost a good friend and have to cherish him within my heart instead of making new experiences with him.

Since it really drags me down a lot (and I mean a lot - becoming lazy and a bit depressed) *developed a habit of watching motivation videos to overcome my feelings of loss and sadness.

What strange habits do you have, when it comes to anime and manga?

Seeing as I started with various anime that had ended prior to me watching them, I've learned to let it go and to find something new. Sometimes it's something completely different, and sometimes it's something closely related to it (sequel, prequel, written/drawn/produced by the same people, etc.).

Usually by moving on to another show. If I really like a show, I'll see if I can also read the manga/light novel that it's based on. Generally if it's a show I really really liked it'll be one of the ones that I'll re-watch every couple of years. Though there's a lot of shows, and I am usually watching three or four new ones every season, so not a lot of shows really make that mark.

I get a feeling of accomplishment, completeness, and a proud notion that I achieved my goal of making it to the end. In other words - I usually feel that I went on a journey with the story and learned something, at least one primary thing, from it. Be it a lesson in love, unpredictability of the anime/manga, or shock at hidden twists that teach me with food for thought.
