ANIME MASTER OF MARS RED WILL BE released IN 2021!

Recently, Yomiuri TV Enterprise and Funimation announced that they will work together to produce a MARS RED television anime based on the vampire drama of the same name by Bun'ō Fujisawa. The anime is currently in production and will premiere in 2021.

MARS RED took place in 1923 and now vampires have been around for a long time. But now, the number of vampires is increasing rapidly and a mysterious source of blood called Ascrafts has appeared.
The Japanese government established "Code Zero", an army unit tasked with defeating vampires.

Under the establishment of Lt. Gen. Nakajima, this unit was once a war information provider, but was handed over to solve the vampire version's "population explosion".
The published cast of characters, members of the "Code Zero" unit:
Yoshinobu Maeda - Captain of Code Zero and the strongest
Shutaro Kurusu - A-class Vampire and rookie in the squad
Tokuichi Yamagami - Intelligent Vampire, currently not ranked
Suwa - Vampire veteran from the Edo period
Takeuchi - D-class Vampire and mad scientist with immortal brain

Sounds complicated, but interesting. Being due out in 2021, I imagine it will be 2022 or 2023 before we get to see it in the US.
