This past weekend, Cartoon Network's Toonami aired the first episode of season 2 of Food Wars. The series got off to a good start, but over the last half of the first season it became very repetitive. Every episode came out mainly as talk, talk, talk about recipes and how various dishes were made. I stuck with it until now waiting to see if season 2 would start off more interesting. Well, with a name like "Food Wars," what else would I expect?
I would like to see a bit more time spent on character development and maybe a bit more on personal relationships. The series did start off paying attention to relationships, but then ignored them almost all together.
So I'm giving up on the series. It has just gotten too redundant. That is usually the problem with long running series after 4 or 5 seasons. Food Wars accomplished this is season one.
Anyone agree? Disagree?
