Well, it is not unheard of for a 99 year old to die.

I haven't heard any differently, so I assume she still had all her mental faculties when she died. I have seen many elderly, including relatives, who have their minds go before their bodies are ready to call it quits.

Unfortunately, certain people are trying to use Betty White's death for political purposes. They started an internet rumor that she died from complications from a Covid vaccine booster. The rumors are false. Or more precisely, they are a lie.

Peter Bogdanovich, one of the leading film directors of the 1970's, died at 82. He had his greatest successes early in his career with The Last Picture Show, Paper Moon, and What's Up Doc? His later films were not bad, just not as good or well received.

Film legend Sidney Poitier died today at 94.



Poitier received his first Oscar nomination for this film. But Tony Curtis also was nominated for Best Actor, so they cancelled each other out!
