Also they change genders from Japan to America. Remember Ruby Moon from Card Captors? Originally she's a guy. When they translated it, what they couldn't edit out (and boy did they edit it out) they made her a girl like when they made Uranus and Neptune "cousins".

So how do you feel about characters who are hard to identify by gender or have been made intentionally to resemble the opposite gender than they are? Or those who actually change from one to the other using magic, science, or surgery?

They appear often in anime and many characters get into situations where they inevitably have to dress as one or the other, if not become them.

And yes Edward was a girl, but she was specifically designed to made that difficult to determine and the other characters were shocked by the revelation.
