Hey everyone, it's been a while! お久しぶりです!
Real life kept me busy for the past couple of years, y'know how it is.

I've been working on this song on and off whenever I had time for a while now. Obviously I had to go for a Sound Horizon song right off the bat... err, not gonna lie, probably not the wisest choice but I guess I couldn't help it lol.

I'll highlight the parts I had the most trouble with, but if anyone has any other comments/feedback in general, I'd love to hear them.

Beyond the never-ending rain, what is the color of the sky that is expected to be seen?

A bargain that heats up the riskier it gets
Is the servant of our hopeless ego that will not notice until all is lost...

Lying in the hollow ruins, he trembles in the cold rain.
His home and the people waiting for him, are now part of the past...

"Speculation" is a knife that scrapes off the back of the truth.
I wonder... what did that man see... and what did he realize...?

Taking others' lives and having lives taken from you... thus, the times change.
Beyond the never-ending rain, what is the color of the sky that is expected to be found?

Although he had intended to bring his fate into submission,
Reaching out, trying to grab hold of the future, his arm was too short...

Once the closed eyes of the girl open, the world
Will witness the worst nightmare imaginable... the cruel God of death...

[The World of Rein]

"Death"... they say, is something
Where the senses dependent on the body are the first to decay, preceding the mind.
Could that be the reason that, even as they desperately evade it and try to escape it,
Humans are able to withstand the cold uninvited kiss of death...?

The illusion where the constant fear turns into rain that continues to pour down---
That is... the pain that breaks one's mind while still alive.
An infinite number of pairs of mirrors facing each other, clear as glass balls:
The wrongdoers claim they simply see a "world" within the girl's eyes...

A picture is worth more than a thousand words, and the same goes for ten thousand words.[1]
Pity... contempt... misguided mockery... a fire on the opposite shore, so to speak.
Until it's burning, there's no telling its heat, and once it's already burning, it is too late.
Just how many people in this world can live their lives without having sinned...?

[The World of Rein]

Once the closed eyes of the girl open, the world
Will witness the worst nightmare imaginable... the cruel God of death...

The shining ice-blue eyes kiss the vividly-decaying world
And the descending nightmare... becoming a cruel God of death...[2]

We are a group of wrongdoers infesting this land.
We pray... that you will not be caught by the World of Rein...

「澪音の世界」

「死」とは...精神（こころ）に先行して
まず肉体（からだ）に依存する感覚から朽ち果てるものらしい
なればこそ人間（ひと）は散々忌避し逃避を企てながらも
招かれざる死の冷たい接吻（くちづけ）に耐え得るのだろうか…

絶え間ない恐怖感が雨となり降り続けるという幻想
それは...生きながらにして精神（こころ）を壊されてゆく苦痛
硝子球のように透き通った永遠の合わせ鏡
罪人は少女の瞳の中に唯「世界」を見るという…

百聞は一見に如かず　千聞とてまた然り
憐憫...侮蔑...的外れな嘲笑...謂わば対岸の火事
燃えるまでは熱さ解らず　燃えてからでは遅過ぎる
この世界で何人が罪を犯さずに生きられると言うのか…

「澪音の世界」

閉ざされた少女の瞳が開かれし瞬間（とき）世界は
幻想し得る最悪の狂夢（ゆめ）を...残酷な死神（かみ）を見る…

薄氷色（アイスブルー）に煌く瞳が鮮やかに朽ちる世界と
堕ちてゆく狂夢（ゆめ）に唇を重ねて...残酷な死神（かみ）になる…

地に蔓延りし我ら罪人の群れ
願わくば...君が澪音の世界に囚われないことを…

[1] - So originally it was something like, "Seeing something once is better than hearing about it a hundred times, and the same goes for a thousand times" but I felt it was kind of lengthy and didn't quite preserve the same feeling the original text had so I decided to phrase it like I did because that was the only thing I could think of. Any other ideas? Or do you think it's fine the way it is now? Or should I have gone with my initial translation?

[2] - I mean, I know it could just be a weird-looking sentence and that's all there is to it, but is there something I'm possibly missing here?
