So I'm listening to a book on tape called 12 Rules For Life an Antidote to Chaos by Jordan Peterson but I though posting the rules would make more sense in a series of blogs that I'll start this weekend.

Instead, I was thinking a thread for sharing life hacks would be fun. You don't have to post a bunch of life hacks at once and can come back time and time again as you think of them.

A life hack is pretty much any tip or trick to solve problems in a simple way.

My life hack today involves debit/credit cards. If you get "chip malfuncion" don't panic. Wipe the chip with your thumb and try again. For stripped debit/credit slide your thumb along the strip or cover the strip in a piece of paper or plastic if you have one big enough and handy.

As far as chip reading malfunctions go, I just try it like 3 times until it tells me to just swipe it..


Also my favorite life hack is duct tape. Red Green taught me anything can be fixed with it.

Always hide an extra key near your house, especially if you have one of those fixed-knob, slam-once-and-it's-locked-from-the-inside doors.
