So the folks at RoosterTeeth (that also gave us Red vs. Blue and RWBY) have been working with Michael B. Jordan on a new series; gen:LOCK. The plot is that in the future, an oppressive authoritarian force known as the Union threatens to conquer the world with the use of nanotech. A daring team is recruited to pilot a new form of weaponized neuroscience that powers devastating mecha known as HOLONs, but they must be willing to sacrifice everything to save the world.

The team consists of an aircraft pilot that was injured in one of the earliest battles of the war against the Union, a Union traitor that's now working with the good guys, a veteran sharpshooter that has grown tired of fighting, a brash soldier that tends to be a hot head in the field, and a young child that is a computer genius. They're leaders are the grizzled Commander trying to push back against the Union forces and the mad scientist that helped discover and develop the HOLON program.

So far for me, it's been pretty good. It still has some building and explaining to do, but with only 4 episodes out that's fine. They have worked out quite a bit in just 4 eps.
