Recommendations for MMO/RPG (free/online)

Trying to get my wife into some MMO/RPG's online.
She has played maple story and final fantasy online and I am trying to find some recommendations.
Lately we have been PC gaming and was wondering what suggestions there are for online MMO's/RPG's out there.

I don't play MMOs anymore but Guild Wars 2 was solid. Perfect World was alright but got really grindy after level 50. The other MMOs I've played have a subscription so that won't help.
