What would you give up about yourself to save the world?
I just read Ryk Spoore's "Princess Holy Aura" in which a 35 year old man was asked by a magic rat to become a 14 year old girl with magical powers in order to save the world. He had to give up his body, his body and even personality. Would you make a similar choice?
Anime is a lot like sex. Done right it's a beautiful act of creation that brings a little more light into the world. If it's sick and wrong... it's even better.

Reisner was a former pro boxer who turned actor, writer, and director. He previously worked for Chaplin behind the camera on The Gold Rush. Reisner would later become known as a comedy director working with The Marx Brothers, Jack Benny, and Abbot and Costello, among others.

Madoka Magica has taught me to never trust anyone or anything offering me magical powers. I don't think I'd even give up a bad habit since it could just come back to bite me in the butt anyway.
I wouldn't give up anything to save others outside my loved ones. For them I'd give up anything that wouldn't cause them more pain than if I didn't interfere (ex: I wouldn't give up my life, personality, or memories, etc)
