I also grew up with shows like Sailor Moon, Detective Conan and Magic Knight Rayearth. The old classics are the best. Though these are things that I mainly found on my own, since Australia doesn't (or at least back then) have much noticeable Japanese forms of media. Still, I was very drawn to it and still am.
