I doubt whether there must be sonorisation (or voicing). Would it not be better to change it to
*kodomo no koro?

Yeah, there's no reason that should be voiced, and the romaji does have it as "kodomo no koro" later in the song, so I think it's just a typo. I've fixed it now.
