FLCL was perfect. How do you improve on perfection? And how can you plan a sequel to a sequel before the first sequel is out?

At least they have The Pillows back.

I've just got my fingers crossed that it will be good, but meh even if it's terrible we still have the original to fall back on.

With the assumption, shared by most including me, that the sequels will be less than the original, comes the possibility that FLCL's reputation could be tarnished. Why do that? To make a few extra yen?

I agree that it will most likely not live up to the first one but there is always that small chance it will. So I will keep my hopes high.
