Season 2 of Black Clover, Did anyone notice?

Season 2 of Black Clover began on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim/Toonami last night. It seems to be the art and animation style is a bit different than in season 1. The artwork is sharper, but the animation seems to have gone down a peg. The characters don't always seem as lifelike as to the level they were in season 1. Not that season 1 took no short cuts, but it did show a bit more effort than last night's episode.

Anyone else get that impression?

I haven't been following that series, but that's a pretty common thing, I've seen art and animation changes between seasons of a lot of series.

I have seen differences in sequels which are separated from the original series by a few years; i.e., Gunslinger Girl. But seasons separated by only a year? Unless the old artists got canned, died, or ran off in a huff.
