Ajin: Demi-Human. Immortals versus humans. Add one friendly psycho-terrorist into the mix, and take cover!

Blame! The exclamation point is part of the title. The remnants of humanity fight for survival aided by a female android and a man who does not say much. He doesn't need to.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Not your little sister's magical girls. This is magical girls on acid, with a bit of paranoia depression mixed in. Well, there is good reason for the paranoia. There is a series, two follow up movies which re-tell the basic story, and a third movie which ends (?) the saga.

Paranoia Agent. Since I mentioned paranoia. L'il Slugger is such a headache!

Parasyte. Got to hand it to this one!

Boogiepop Phantom. A classic. The story gets confusing because it is not told chronologically, but that is part of the charm. Once finished, you will have to rewatch it, but you will want to rewatch it. This anime is as dark as it gets.

Lain. The coming of age of a young girl who is emotionally, socially, and physically behind the rest of the girls in her class. But how many of those other girls can cross into the world of the internet and back? This one is a great mind-f***. And also pretty dark.

Since you mentioned One Punch Man, I assume you have a taste for "dumb, but fun." Someone already mentioned Kill la Kill. Add Kill Me Baby and FLCL to that list.
