I'm not quite adept at translating Japanese yet, but there are some songs that I just can't help but attempt. This being one of them, I've never been able to find the kanji for the song - only the romaji (so the translation might be off at times). Feel free to correct any and all mistakes you find~

PS. I've attempted to keep the song 'singable' - I have an aversion to translations that sound clunky and don't match the music, so that explains some of my word order and grammar choices.

Okay, so - 目を覚ませ is actually a request/command made by the singer to the stars (maybe if it was written like this: 星達よ、目を覚ませ! it would have been more simple and easy to understand).

"Oh stars, awaken!
It is time for the final battle."

Hmm, is this one of the things you were referring to when you said you'd make adjustments to make it singable? If so, I personally think you might have taken it too far...

"As if shattering the silence of space,
The voices in the dark are reverberating."

That's my personal take on those lines.^

Since it's 守れる, I think it'd be better to replace "is" with "could be (turned...)".

I see where you're going with this, but you've pretty much eliminated なら.

"As long as we're in the front lines,
We'll take on that sword."

Or something like that could work.

Note that the justice itself is the one that is being described here, rather than the stars.

"The stars' justice will surely win/be victorious."

I personally don't think there's an "us" in this stanza.

"That's right! - once this world ends/falls into ruin,
All living things will die/perish.

In here, too, 行け seems to me like more of a request/command.

Since it's 笑い合おう, it implies the laughing is mutual. This is basically an example of a compound verb. When you see 合う coming second in a compound verb, it makes the action of the first verb mutual. 笑う = laugh, 笑い合う = laugh together. I'm really not sure if I explained this thoroughly enough...

"At the time peace has returned,
If we still have our lives, let us laugh together."

Ah, I see you've taken ただ to mean "however". However, I'm pretty sure it means "merely, solely, etc." in this case.

"For the sole purpose of..., I now...."

Thanks for the help! ...However, that whole thing with the "us"... as the word is "uchi", I figured it means an entire group - to my knowledge, that word can't be applied to a group the speaker isn't part of (IIRC it basically means "our family/company/home/etc.").

Ahh, now I see where you got the "us" from. That's a different usage/meaning this word has, actually. 今のうちに, however, means "before it's too late"/"while you still can". http://ejje.weblio.jp/content/%E4%BB...81%A1%E3%81%AB
Also, I'm pretty sure the うち you were referring to is used mainly by females, and is kind of slang-ish. I can't imagine you'd find it in a song like this.

I'll change the translation to incorporate that - then I'll get to figuring out what to do with the rest. XD

Though I'm still going to assume Seiya counts himself as part of the group he's singing about, considering he never entrusted Athena and the world's future to other people - he's still active on the battlefield so it just wouldn't make sense. Plus there's that bit with "I'm gonna win" which means Seiya was always part of the song. XD

I've now fixed the translation even further (about time), figured I'd check if it's better this time. I've also fixed the kanji since it seems the lyrics I found years ago were written wrong? They have "kata shiteru" (shoulder) instead of "kodama shiteru" (echo), while Furuya clearly sings "kodama".
