Remember that show we used to watch when we were little kids?
They turned this noglastic show into this crappy thing:
I mean, what the heck is he? A talking weirdo?

I am not sure what images you tried to post; they aren't showing up for me, sadly.
I took the time to look up the image of the new Bob and he doesn't even look like BTB anymore.
My childhood memories are being bastardized into modern animation!!
But seriously, when it comes to remakes, they're hit or miss. Bob was definitely a miss. I wonder if his voice will be the same? Maybe they made it deeper to go with the new look.

For reference:
I understand what they were going for... But someone should've told them to stop awhile they're ahead. It's not like anyone viewed the old Bob as a bad design or a young child (like Doc McStuffins). So there was no real need to update the show.

I actually don't think it's bad. Animation styles and whatnot change through the years. I never really watched the show as a kid nor do I watch it now so I have no personal attachments to it but objectively speaking the new style is what I prefer. The old one he has a weirdly round head.

I see your point, but this is more than just an animation style change. The overall set, backdrop, and side characters (the machines) relatively resemble the original. But they've updated Bob and other humans with a modern look and also made them look relatively younger when compared to the original. They've also changed the VAs, added an "apprentice" for Bob, brought in a whole slew of new side human characters while ditching most of the old ones, and did the same for the vehicles. They even changed the setting, from the town of Fixham to the robust city of Spring City, and are having Bob use a computer for his building designs. Even Tim, the Tool Man, Taylor would say no to that.
They've done quite a bit to revamp the series, but they probably should've sample tested the character designs with hard core nostalgics as well as younger folks before carrying the ideas forward.
