Anyone else prefer Dragon Ball to One Piece?

Been reading One Piece do to hype and while sometimes it's really engaging other parts are really boring.The characters are great but I don't care for the fights in it. Most people today prefer One Piece to Dragon Ball but I think Dragon Ball was more enjoyable over all.

I do prefer DB and DBZ over One Piece, I haven't seen all of One Piece though so. I might try watching it again, actually, since it's been so many years.

I think it just depends on the person you talk to.

Someone who has been watching anime for a while and grew up on DBZ will says DB/Z for Nostalgia sake, but if you ask someone who is fresh in the scene they will say One Piece mainly due to it is what is popular. In our time DB/Z was popular then and we all ate it up like candy. It would be the same as saying is Gundam the best mech series or is Robotech? Cowboy Bebop or Outlaw Star? They both had their moment to shine. And personally I have enjoyed both.

DB/Z was a great watch when I was a teenager. And now One Piece I have been reading it for well over 15 years now. I have never felt any form of disgust towards the other, but why not just have both in same realm xD

In terms of the anime I actually prefer Dragon Ball much more than DBZ.

Hm as much as I would like to watch it, I just can't watch one piece I don't feel the excitement of it. Like already mentioned the characters are interesting enough, but I feel like the battles are less than what I would like to see. Meanwhile DB, and DBZ are mostly just battle. Yet I feel like DB/DBZ will eventually win due to the continuation being made, like also previously mentioned it was popular and current. With DB/DBZ/DBS being a current thing viewers may be more apt to watching that instead of One Piece

I say One Piece is better but that's just a matter of opinion, I know that DBZ is still pretty popular too but in my opinion One Piece is more engaging, though towards the beginning it's really easy for someone just starting to read/watch it to get very bored. Can't say much about DBZ though.

I'm watching DragonBallZ Kai now, but I only watched only One One Piece episode, maybe Monkey just annoys me, yet I really like the DragonBall characters, especially Bulma, she can be a whiner, but she can be entertaining at times. Also, if you have seen the live action DragonBall Evolution movie, Bulma was horrible, she had now charisma at all, I like the anime Bulma much better!
