Animes that qualify on that list for me so far;
Death Note
Code Geass
Steins;Gate
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
I'm trying Baccano! and the first episode's a bit confusing. Guessing it gets better.

Psycho Pass is a great watch and makes you think at every turn.
Any of the Ghost in Shell shows/movies.
Zetsuen no Tempest (Blast of Tempest) maybe. Made me think about a lot of stuff especially regarding the world as a whole and fate.
"Kill a man, one is a murderer. Kill a million, a conqueror. Kill them all, a god."
Xbox Live: ThrainMyAnimeList: iRhya
Ergo Proxy left me thinking for a while.
Nonon Jakuzure - Best Kill la Kill baePretty damn great! #spoke2soonOta "The Cutest Otaku" 2016 - Lol, how's your account doing lately? Oh wait.
Charlotte and Tokyo raven and aot....
The question in this thread is quite wide I think. Some can take it as a plot that made you think about life differently, some will take it that the story was built very smartly like in detective stories, and some will take it as intense action plot .
I wasn't quite sure which you meant GreedWins - but according to everyone who answered, I can choose which meaning I got .
So for me Rokka no Yuusha for intresting developments and plot, Uchuu Kyoudai for intense story that made me think about life and Gintama for the action. But I agree with GreedWins about Steins;Gate and Code Geass!
I've seen most of these (though I still need to finish Steins;Gate and Durarara), but I'm bookmarking this anyway. Always like a good complex anime that makes me look at things from a different perspective.
Grave of the fireflies
The Garden of Words
Steins Gate
If we are talking - trying to understand it and keep up...watch excel saga in japanese <3 Nabeshin, you quirky clever man you.
Ghost In the Shell: Stand Alone Complex really made me stop and think. It made me think about our rapid development in technology and the negative results of it.
I definitely recommend watching it.
Death Parade
It's quite an emotional anime which makes you think if the decisions the arbiter made was right.
I wont spoil anything
