Thumbs up Miyazaki was right? Discuss.

I found this video by chance:

    What do you think?

Jackie Coogan, Charlie Chaplin, and Charles Reisner as the Bully.

Reisner was a former pro boxer who turned actor, writer, and director. He previously worked for Chaplin behind the camera on The Gold Rush. Reisner would later become known as a comedy director working with The Marx Brothers, Jack Benny, and Abbot and Costello, among others.

Miyazaki does seem to deal with the value of life by using characters who seem real. And I am not just talking about the slice of life films, such as From Up on Poppy Hill (which he did not direct, but he did write the script). Though the film is a fantasy, Chihiro from Spritted Away certainly comes across as a real person. Even Ponyo, a fantasy character in the film with the same name, becomes very human.
