Are people still into Kenshin?

I never really hear anyone talk about this anime besides me and my friends. So im wondering if its a genarational thing or that maybe its not avalibale to people now. i liked it when it came out on toonami in the states and have since nearly finished it including the ovas. so whats the deal r people into this anime?

I recently bought the live-action movies. I watched the 1st 2 and they were pretty epic! I'm hoping to 'cross-play' him soon too! I love Kenshin, but the series dragged on a bit, I dropped it after like 30 or 40 eps.

I enjoy it up to the end of the Shishio arch then it drops of for me. Ive never seen the live action movies ill have to check them out.

Well too be honest the Shishio Arc ends the series. Unless you take into account the actual ending of the series which is a fight between Kenshin and the Kid Brother of the girl he accidently killed in Samurai X. But if you have not watched Samurai X then I mean I don't think you would really understand the character back-story.

They did recently do a Rurouni Kenshin: Shishio Manga re-buff worth the read. I always enjoyed Kenshin @_@ ORO!

Yes, people are still into it. There are still groups of people on tumblr for instance that RP Ruru Ken. Heh.
I'm certainly still into it. I bought the LA movie versions As Soon As I heard that they were on DVD, I own the TV anime and the entire manga series. If you haven't seen it/read it-Highly suggest you do so. Its a fantastic series. Definitely a good classic.

I disregard everything after the Shishio Arc cuase it seems they just gave up. Kenshins detective work on how tricks are done went out the window. You know what I'm talking about if you saw the feng shui eps where he totally gave up and just accepted it as magic. The series is one of my favorites and every so often I go back and watch a couple eps to keep the fire alive. The live action that came out surprised me with the quality. They had to hack up the story alittle bit to get it to fit into a movie but what they kept was golden. Very few live actions can hold a candle up to what they are based on *cough* dragonball evolution *cough* but kenshin was one of the few.

For the TV anime that is true...Best to ignore everything after the Kyoto arc in the anime.

But the manga story line was High Quality all the way to the last chapter. Even after Kyoto.

And I agree. The LA movies are Fantastic. If chopped up.

Funny, because I've watched a bunch of anime since the 90's but Kenshin is one of those that I still have on my list to watch. I guess the hype was kind of annoying to me. Back in high-school, I remember a lot of people into Kenshin and Inuyasha. Like AOT, I liked the few episodes that I watched but sometimes the current obsession makes me want to steer away until it dies down.

True I have no say on the manga cause I did not read it. I have always had issues reading manga I know I know but I just cant pull myself into like I can anime. Lol I the only book series I "read" was game of thrones and that was the book on tape ha ha.
