I've finished this anime - at 39 episodes, and give it 4 out of 5 stars. I liked it a lot, but was confused by certain parts.
Q: Has anyone else watched this series?

My Wi-Fi, it's gone out . . .
It was quite fun, solid art style and some very interesting twists and turns on the way.

I love how Utena Tenjou was seemingly unbeatable while protecting the Rose Bride. She had skills.

I adore Utena is one of my top favourite series
I might not be able to answer everything but you can try ask things
I disliked the Student Council, but Nanami and Miki were the only ones I could stand.

I really liked Juuri, Miki was cute. Touga had his good moments here and there.
Saionji got on my nerves one too many times that, abusive jerk
Akio... *shivers* too abusive, too manipulative, dislike him with passion.
Nanami was not a character I liked
Anthy was a character that you learn to love, then hate, then understand, and finally love again.
The ending was very surprising.

you mean the back stabbing or, about the last episode with anthy ?
I generally enjoyed this series.... I liked the character designs and the music, and it explored some interesting themes. A lot of the time I wished they would go a little deeper into said themes...and then sometimes it was just plain silly... I'd probably give it about a 6/10.
I love Utena and all that she stood for. As you can probably tell, I love good guys.

LOL Me too I adore Utena and I love characters like her as well
here's a more soft Anthy
translation:
Anthy: Utenasama you really hate duelling, right
Utena: but it is something we can not avoid. I don't like it but I have to keep on fighting. This is what I decided
Anthy: but is that alright?
(singing part
Utena: I won't run away, someday, a time of understanding will come. I want to protect you, always, so this smile will not longer be clouded
Anthy: smile? did I smile?
Utena: you smiled!

they are so sweet in that but the musical only covered the first arc so. :P
Nice!

The car wash thing in the movie makes less than no sense
Anime is a lot like sex. Done right it's a beautiful act of creation that brings a little more light into the world. If it's sick and wrong... it's even better.

The movie's ending was way more satisfying to me.

I had no idea that there was a manga. Not that I have any intentions of reading it.

I finished this series only a couple of days ago and found that I really enjoyed it. It's been something that I'd heard about for years but never felt compelled to watch, I'm not sure what changed my mind, but I'm happy I did. I found Utena to be a really likable character, she was more bubbly and friendly than I expected her to be for some reason(hearing about the series I thought she would be on the serious side). Also, while elements of the series did confuse me I really like how it was set up, the shadow puppet theatre of each episode was a neat touch. I've decided when RightStuf releases the blu ray version next year I've got to get it ^_^
yeaaaaaahh another fan of Utena
I loved it. Since I'm a writer, there are a few things I would've changed in the series. The ending I definitely would change. "Grant me the power to bring the world revolution!" That's right, Utena, that's right.

Nanami, she was cute, but such a nut job, I really liked her, she was the most entertaining character and obsessed with her brother, (so are a lot of anime little sisters as well, it seems!). I don't think that Utena really revolutionized the world too much though.
I know this is a bit old, but I have to post. This is one of my absolute favorite series!
I haven't actually been able to finish it because I seem to have developed some weird mental block on it where I can only watch it after I buy it, but I've got two out of three of the special edition boxed sets. :3 I just love how it tackles those darker themes so well, and the shadow puppety scenes are great. I sometimes get annoyed with characters that are a little too heroic, but I absolutely love Utena herself. The next time I have that much money to blow, I'll definitely be getting the third boxed set so I can finish it.
Also, that episode when Nanami gets the cowbell kills me every time. xD
She has no shadows, and she radiates beauty.
Slender body, and two eyes like ebony.
Her spirit's golden, and her mind's a mystery.
Utena should've weilded two swords in the finale. One for Anthy and one for Akio, that jerk!
My Wi-Fi, it's gone out . . .
