Good proportions, good understanding on dark areas. I think other than touching up on a few things such as trying to get clean lines and smooth gradation on the tones, I think you need to think about setting out your base drawing so your able to figure out the hand placement and pretty much the pose. Because I notice with the wrist/hand feels very awkward. looks like you felt you had to stretch out her arm to achieve he pose you were going for.
Look forward to more, I can see great potential.
Ah, thanks for the comment! Actually it's just a drawing of a picture from that maid... I can't draw anything on my own, only "copy". ._.'' Anyway I'm trying to get better on drawing portraits. <3
Here's another one:
Youre obviously comfortable with using a pencil, so try drawing things from your imagination instead of copying. Copying might look very nice but it doesnt increase your technical skills. Try reading some books or tutorials on construction and "drawing with the right side of your brain".
Also dont listen to the other guy in this thread cos he doesnt know sh*t.
Thank you very much!
Sometimes I try to draw something I "want" to draw, not just something that is already there, but... when I try to draw something I imagine I can't even draw a round circle. ._.
I bought a book a while ago, it's about drawing portraits, I want to get better at this at least for now.
But I'm really happy about the comment! Maybe I will try to draw something from my imagination from time to time again...
Good drawings but the eyes seems odd, they're kinda unbalanced
Loomis? Is that an author? I will look into it... thank you. ^-^
