I need to know, what are your favorite weapons in anime, manga or videogames?

Hi, I'm a university students in fine arts and I need some info for a future project. I'm creating a weapon collection and I'd appreciate it if it could be some of the most popular and well-known weapons (or not). It can also include staffs and wands.

Please let me know what your favorite weapons are.

example; mine are the master sword from the Legend of Zelda and Talim's tonfa from Soul Calibur. The runner up would be Card Captor's star wand.

I have always been a fan of anyone using a scythe as a weapon a prime example being Maka and Soul from Soul Eater.

Well one of my favorites are Zabusa's "Kubikiribouchou" sword and Kisame's sword "Samehada" from Naruto. And Shana from Shakugan no Shana.

Here are some weapons I like:

- Sniper rifles... They're awesome.
- Large, long-ranged, deadly, sniper-like energy rifles. Kinda like Lyle's Gundam from 00. (Wikipedia)
- Chainguns, whether they shoot bullets or energy shots. But they have to be powerful, make the screen shake terribly and crush everything in their face. Otherwise, meh.

But remember: Good action is only good when it's a complementary to the plot; not vice-versa. Many anime I have watched had some good weapons and some good action, but their plot was so trite and... BORING... that I spent the series thinking, "oh please..." (like every Gundam series I watched so far)

Definitely this. My biggest weakness to any series is when main characters use their powers (or lack of) in a creative way.

The point is that it's not really about what weapon a person uses, it's how they use it that's impressive.

But the gist of the topic is that he is "creating a weapons collection" which I am assuming is either physical copies of weapons, or some sort of 3-D model. Debating the ethics of brain over brawn is doing nothing to further his cause.

Personnally, it depends on the situation. But I do love the Bastard Sword, and the Beretta Model 96. Side armament consists of a SOG Tigershark Elite and SOG Trident with explosives.
