Here's a common one guys, which antivirus software do you prefer or recommend?
What antivirus are you using right now?
& Is there anything such as "the best antivirus software" this moment?

Avast is hands down the best free antivirus. The best payed antivirus would be AVG.

I used to think that McAfee is the best available, but weirdly enough a Deep freeze & USB disk protection is sufficient taking into account you know what you are doing XD
Try avast I have it and it really works.
Using AVG myself. I paid for it and it works very well. Easy to use, haven't had an infection or anything of the sort for a long time and if there comes something it usually catches it right away. Haven't tried Avast myself, but maybe worth a try someday, if I feel like it ^^
Just looking for something beautiful
I use Microsoft's free anti-virus, Microsoft Security Essentials. Mainly because of that, it's free. It also doesn't seem to hog up all my memory like other anti-viruses. I'm looking at you, Norton.
Microsoft Security Essentials is my top pick. I really hated Norton and macafee actually crashed my computer at one point.. so yeah
I use AVG 2015. It's free. I heard about AVG from The Screen Savers, a TV show on TechTV which recommended AVG, around 10 years ago or more. I've been using AVG since then without having any problems.

I've been told to think that the most popular anti-virus programs are the ones hackers study the closest to get around. I don't see anyone mention Avira (free). Your guys' thoughts
I'm afraid you've been misled since AVG is a glorified placebo posing as an anti-virus since it's a false positive black hole, and I doubt it's been protecting you properly (this is from a former AVG user who ditched that pile of garbage as it kept on claiming that one of my game executables was a virus and kept on blocking it) so I suggest you get that pile of garbage off your computer and install something that works like Avast.
I'm using Avast!, and it works pretty well. Mainly because I've tried using AVG; had tons of problems with that (it actually allowed a whole bunch of viruses to take root), and Microsoft Security Essentials is outdated and pretty much a hassle to use.
