Cosplay suggestions

So this year, im going to be going to my first convention which will be Anime North (and possible Otakon also) and i decided that since im already shelling out the money to go to the convention, i might as well go all out and cosplay too. Ive never cosplayed before but i can make costumes and stuff like that, but i have no idea who to cosplay as.

Although everyone says that you dont really need to look like the person youre cosplaying as, ive seen a handful of fat male sailor moon cosplayers which made me decide that i need to look like the character im cosplaying as

I'm a guy, 6'2'', really skinny and lanky, and i have shortish dirty-blonde hair.

The only character who i could think of would be Okabe Rintaro from Steins;Gate since hes also kinda tall and lanky (and lab coats are awesome) but i was wondering if there were any other characters whom i could go as.

Okabe would be so cool! Or a Full Metal character. My fave is Roy Mustang, but you could probably pull of Jean Havoc or Edward Elric... Oh, or Izaya Orihara or Shizou from Durarara... I want to see pics!

Thanks Jasanime for the sugestions and Im fine with getting a wig. This is my first time cosplaying so i dont know what to set as a budget, but im 16 and my only job is tutoring so my budget isnt too high.

Knowing about your physical features and your budget I can narrow it down to Dave Strider.

 

You can save a little more money with the last one, however with the first, you have to spend a little more there.
