Yeah, not unusual for kids movies. Land Before Time has thirteen movies.
You mad, bro?
: The Game. You just lost it. :
My signature was so old it broke. RIP signature.
the pokemon franchise is successful? who knew.
What happened to Pokemon? It got so . . . so . . . what's the word?
My Wi-Fi, it's gone out . . .
Pokemon is a kid series, that much is true. However, have you ever read the manga? Things get exceptionally brutal. Pokemon get injured. Pokemon get murdered. Pokemon die. You are just looking at box art and making stupid assumptions based on nothing. But the manga is why more brutal than any video game. Trust me. It is a kid's series, but often far from cute.
Your point being...what exactly? Let's do some math, shall we?
The Pokemon anime has been going on for 17 years (since 1997). There has been a Pokemon movie released every year since it premiered. So....
17 years X 1 movie/year = 17 feature films (including the one coming out this year). Honestly, this should come as no surprise to you or to anyone. So again, your point is what?
Hell, James Bond has 23 movies, The Land Before Time has 13 movies (and a crap TV show), and the freaking "Air Buddies" (which shouldn't exist per movie canon), have 8 movies.
BUUUUURRRRN!!!

This is what happens to trolls who mess with me.
Manga version was more violent than TV anime? Wow. I bet the Manga isn't considered to be for kids, at least not in the US it isn't (Japan maybe)

It was released for children's markets in both countries actually. To this day, the Pokemon manga is usually only found in the children's sections of bookstores, with most of the violence kept in.
Ironically, when Viz re-released the Pokemon Adventures manga, they kept all of the serious violence (Raticate death, Arbok sliced, Magmar murdered), but took out some smaller forms of violence (along with some clothing and a few boob edits). For example, Arbok was still sliced in half, but Viz edited a scene where Chys (aka Crystal) is slapped by her mother.
Apparently, animal death is fine; child abuse is not.
