something incredible just happened to me.
i got out of work and was riding (my badass blue moped) home, and remembered that i had no food. so i stopped at the gas station that i frequent to buy some. i walked in, went straight to the "ready-made food stuffs" aisle and picked up two extra large bowls of beef ramen noodles. walked toward the counter. the lady knew me, i'm there practically every day to buy my lunch for work. she goes "Hey you, how ya doin?" i waved my bowl of noodles at her in greeting. "Good," i replied. "Just buying some provisions."
and here is the incredible part.
"Some what?" she replied.
"Provisions," i repeated.
"Okay. $3.58."
i was astonished. here was a grown woman who had never heard the word "provisions" in her life. how is that possible? did the school system fail? her parents? she didn't watch enough old westerns? I DON'T UNDERSTAND
by the way i just got promoted at work. i am now all my old co workers' boss. WHO'S KICKING WHO AROUND NOW
