Is Avatar: The Last Airbender an anime?

First of all i have read a lot of post of avatar in general anime and manga and also on the western animation thread i just want to confirm what it really is anime or cartoon

It was actually animated in Korea, hence why the art looks anime-ish. But being animated in Korea still doesn't make it an anime.

still good though.
