Mwahahahahahahah!
Okay here's a fun one. Disney is making anime! Then translating it back into English... in Australia. Based on their American shows. How does this jive with those people who say anime cannot be made in America?

Anime is a lot like sex. Done right it's a beautiful act of creation that brings a little more light into the world. If it's sick and wrong... it's even better.

how is this made in America?
the titles list one tone of Japanese names and Japanese production companies, the fact that the story is made by disney doesn't say anything on where it was made in the end.
with your logic I could argue that Lion King is Japanese (which it is since disney stole the story without credits from Osamu Tezuka but they still made a production in American not in Japan and in cartoon style of art not anime)
Nonon Jakuzure - Best Kill la Kill baePretty damn great! #spoke2soonOta "The Cutest Otaku" 2016 - Lol, how's your account doing lately? Oh wait.
Ummm actually before stitch there are already anime movies part of disney...spirited away anyone?...I'm not sure if this is the kind of "disney anime" you're referring to
I wouldn't consider it part of the Disney family since they had no hand in creating the anime, only dubbing it and getting the rights to distribute it outside of Japan, sorta like your local grocery store selling your favorite soda pop. They didn't create it but they are allowed to sell it. (Maybe that was a bad example)

The Stitch anime was produced in Japan, and based on an American cartoon... It's not much different from all the other anime that were inspired by American cartoons, such as Astro Boy, Yu-Gi-Oh... even Bakemonogatari! And in the anime Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, one of the ED animations was actually drawn in the same style as the American comic book Hellboy. It's not rare for anime to take inspiration from America; its very history was influenced by American animation!
...But the Stitch anime was still produced in Japan. xD
Maybe, but what would the characters look like?
