What type of weapon is it that Hit-Girl uses in the Kick-Ass movie?

It's a bladed weapon, it's got a wooden pole like 2 to 3 feet long and there is a blade at each end of the pole. Each blade is like 1 to 2 feet long. The pole/shaft of the weapon is actually split at it midpoint and the two halves are held together in a way that the 2 halves can be detached and wielded as 2 separate weapons.

Here's a pic that I think is an official movie poster for the Kick-A$$ movie, showing Hit-Girl holding her weapon, in its single weapon mode (the 2 halves attached together to make a single long 2-bladed weapon).

Can someone here tell me what kind of weapon that is? Or is it like a completely fictional type of weapon. Sort of like her custom designed weapon that's her unique trademark weapon.
