Hey guys new to all this. HELP :-)

Hello people of anime forum! My name is striker. I was wondering if I could get some help. I need assistance finding anime. I've been on and off with anime. I watched yu Gi oh as a kid and I still watchit on hulu. That's basically all the anime I've watched. Not sure if code lyoko counts. I've played anime games like persona 4 golden. What I'm trying to say is, I don't know where to look or start. I'm really interested in anime because they have really good stories and the music is always frickin awesome.
If I could get a anime that you recommend that would be amazing! The types of anime I would like would be something with a great storyline, memorable characters, love and relationships ( I'm a sucker for that!), Upbeat soundtrack, and maybe a conflict or something that's happening.
Thanks a million guys! A friend of mine a few years ago used to watch anime all the time and I thought it was just odd. Now I just want to start watching some! I've become obsessed!!
BTW I have access to Netflix so if there's a good anime on there than tell Me! And the animes you guys tell me of can you say if I can search online for it? Thanks!! <3

If your up for watching a very long series or two, try One Piece and/or Naruto. Those are usually the basic animes, but basic's are alright most of the time. They have those two shows in English Dub if your not up to reading subtitles and whatnot.

How about "Howl's Moving Castle" or "The Secret World of Arrietty?" ANYTHING by Hayao Miyazaki or Studio Ghibli! "Sailor Moon" was what got me started. Then "Dragonball Z" and the first Season of "Pokémon."

If you want a short romantic and sexy Anime, try the twelve-episode Series called "Sakura Diaries." If you are at least sixteen, then try "Hellsing." I also like "VanDread" for male-on-female Relationships in Space with Aliens. If you like Action and Violence involving pre-pubescent Girl Assassins, try "Gunslinger Girl."

Angel Beats: A great start and a great anime. Pretty short, so its noob friendly. Try it. I bet you'll love it.

Natsuiro Kiseki: (SUB ONLY) An anime with a good story and an intro that is 10/10 material. Pretty good characters and has an OVA. MUST watch!

Cowboy Bebop: One word. Classic. One of the greatest animes of all time and has little flaws in it. Personally, I think the DUB is better so it may be easier for you to follow. Watch it. Now!

Toradora: (SUB ONLY) A romantic masterpiece. Enough said. You like romance with a great story? Toradora is a must watch then.

AKB0048: (SUB ONLY) A music genre anime based off an actual band in Japan. A great story and a great set of characters.

Good story, upbeat music? Why not Zoidberg? Lol I kid, I kid. I recommend some classics for you though. Starblazers, Mobile Suit Gundam, Captain Harlock, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Last Exile, Trinity Blood, Sailor Moon, Dragonball, and Patlabor!
