You find a spider, what do you do?

I just saw one a few minutes ago actually. It was near my bed and I never took my eyes off of it 'til it was farther away. My cat played with it.

Well given where I live if it isn't a black widow then I tend to leave them alone.

What I usually do. Which is utter words of terror and whimper and smack at it with various long object and/or spray it with anything I can find. If that doesn't work, I close off that room never to return. At least until someone else goes in there to tell me I'm in the clear. ^^;

stare at it for a while then realize if i don't kill it, it's going to lay eggs in my nostrils while i sleep, so then i'd cry while i crushed it with a shoe and tell it i'm sorry ;-;

Get a cup. Get a piece of cardboard.

Cautiously approach it, throw it with the cardboard into the cup, cover the cup with the piece of cardboard. Then release it outside. Let it be someone else's problem.
