Keysi Fighting Method:
Boxing, it's the chess of fighting sports.
Brute strength is only a small percent of what it takes to win a fight.
When ever we get a big guy in our boxing gym, a 200 pounder,
(who thinks hes on top of the world because he just saw a fighting movie and decided sign up)
Our coach humbles them by having our smallest boxer (with 8 years experience boxing) slaughter them in the ring.
Yah it's awesome lol, I was one of those guys... I saw my movie "Never back down"
And signed up to my boxing gym two years ago, at 190 pounds I thought I was a beast
The coach tells me to spar against a 140 pound guy, I get ready thinking this is going
to be unfair... I outweigh this guy and I'm like 5 inches taller... Buuuuuuuuuuuut
I was curious to why I was wearing protective head gear and the other guy wasn't -.-
I soon found out why lmao...
We start and i'm throwing wild punches most not even connecting... and ones that do
he absorbs with his arms, this goes on for a minute he hasn't even thrown a punch at me
a minute of full aggression fighting for someone untrained is a lot... I got winded because
I didn't have my breathing down... so I started slowing down... then BOOM!
Meanest punch I've ever taken to the jaw, I try throwing up my guard... but it doesn't do me any good
His punches are coming from everywhere... hitting me in the right spots that make me open up my guard in other areas
In the end the coach called it over... and I just had to sit on the floor and process what just happened to me xDDDD
when I realized I just had my A** handed to me... It just made me more excited to learn to box, it's a great sport.

I will try muay thai...
Filipino Kyusho:
currently training muay thai
Muay Thai can be lethal when used properly!
I practiced Tae Kwon Do for 3 or 4 years but I gave up after one day during lessons I did a flying kick and landed on a thumb tack which went all the way into my foot. You see the lessons were in a rented out school hall so they probably forgot to clean before starting the class and yeah, jumping onto a thumbtack is something that no martial arts will prepare you for.
I preferred Tae Kwon Do, as in my experience it is centered more around kicks than punches. I have weak, thin arms but my legs are built solid so my kicks are a hell of a lot more powerful than my punches or chops. Plus I was a natural at the aerial kicks, though I must say a flying back kick is hard to aim when your target is a tiny wooden board. Of course a lot of it is quite showy, but there was some really good genuine defence tips to be learned from it. I'll never forget the day we did two on one sparring where in groups of three you would take turns going up against the other two. It was rough and bloody intense but also really fun. But I haven't practiced for so long I've most definitely lost the best of my skills.
It's all about the windmill.
I like whatever style Power Rangers, VR Troopers, and other Tokustsu shows use.

I find muay thai a great offensive art to know, defence id have to say boxing, cant beat a tuff body with good dodges.
Only Yin Can Be This Cute(:
I voted Krav. To me its the most practical self defense technique, and its main purpose is to incapacitate opponents. Not to mention it helps level the field in an unarmed v. armed scenario.
Shodokan Aikido, though I dare say I'm rusty and clearly out of practice.
I draw and make jewelry. @studioalatus on instagram/inkblot/tumblr/TikTok www.studioalatus.com Etsy shop: https://etsy.com/shop/alatuscove
I miss training.. its been weeks... sigh.
Krav Maga’s moves and techniques carry military precision and efficiency, as well as the toughness of the mentality of the streets. Attacks on vulnerable parts of the body – eyes, solar plexus, throat, groin knees, etc. – are given importance. Hand-eye coordination is heavily emphasized, until one’s movements became instinctive and would not require thinking any more. As if the body is trained to automatically defend itself. The concept of disarming someone with a gun or knife is also somehow unique in Krav Maga, as not only is the disarming is stressed, but actually using the opponent’s own weapons against himself.
Like Keysi Fighting Method, Krav Maga will turn someone into an ultimate fighting machine. But unlike Keysi, the best thing about Krav Maga (that is why it’s number one) is it can be learned, regardless of athletic prowess, in three to six months.
Don’t mess with Israel. They have the Mossad. They have the Shayetet 13. And they have the most badass fighting style in the world. IMO
