New anime watcher here. What should I watch next?

Hello all, I just started watching anime about two weeks ago(besides pokemon when I was young). A few months ago, a friend of mine had shown me bits of soul eater. I thought it looked pretty cool at the time but then forgot about it. But, about two weeks ago I was browsing netflix and saw Soul Eater and decided to give it a try. Needless to say it was awesome. I literally watch a whole session every night. But then I finished and I was going to move onto the manga until I found out (spoiler ahead) that in the manga Crona leaves the academy and becomes evil again and I don't know how to deal with that! So for better or worst I decided I wasn't going to read the manga. Now I just began watching Fullmetal Alchemist and that's awesome too! So I was wondering after I finish watching Fullmetal Alchemist what other animes do you guys think I should watch next? I was thinking Fairy Tail as being one. What do you guys think?*

Hey! Glad you picked up anime as a hobby! Really, the quality in these shows make them worth watching. Well Ive been watching anime since 1998, so I hope you find my suggestions worth while.

Cowboy Bebop: Ignore people who say watch only the new stuff. This show is a no brainer! Its really well made and has an oustanding soundtrack. I'd think this show should be top priority.

Yu Yu Hakusho: Fairly older and a great classic fighting anime. At least give the first season a shot. Great stuff!

Fist of The North Star: Once again a great classic fighting anime. IMO it set the pace for all fighters that came after. Def try this one:

K-on: Fairly newer and unlike my other three suggestions. This show is really just cute with a pretty nice cast! Not so serious and will put a smile on your face. If you dislike the first season, just drop the anime.

Lucky Star: My favorite anime of all time. Really, even less serious than K-on, but IMO better. I love the cast, you may as well!

Oreshura: VERY new. Its a harem anime, meaning the main guy needs to choose between four girls who all love him. Its not ecchi so if you're worried dont be. IMO best harem in a while.

Shuffle: Another harem. I didn't like it so much, but people seem to do. Id try it if you liked Oreshura.

Clannad: A popular drama anime. Its basically a slice of life. You' d probably like it since its made pretty well. Give it a shot.

Angel Beats: A pretty good one! It probably should of been longer, but well its still worth the watch! IMO you should give it a try.

Love Live School Idol Project: Another very recent anime. I like it, though not sure you will. If you don't get into it by five episodes, just drop it. Nico~

Natsuiro Kiseki: Pretty new and just a heartwarming tale of a longterm friendship possibly breaking. Its revolves around a wishing rock. Good stuff.

Shaku no Shana: Action/Romance anime. Its pretty good. Id say give it a shot! Legendary tsun here!

Gurren Lagaan: Hence my signature. Its well made and has a pretty good cast. If you like giant robots and fanservice, give it a shot!

Naruto: I hate it, but its popular. Id say try it for yourself. Lol. You may very well grow to it.

Astro Boy: 1st anime ever made I believe. Its okay. Id say try it:

As a beginner into anime I cant resist but recommending you the big 3 (well now its 4 with Fairy Tail), One Piece, Bleach and Naruto. They are popular for a reason if you ask me : ) Depending on who you ask these shows drop off at one point or another, but I would bet a guess that most people still hold One Piece in high regards after all this time, which is why I recommend that one most of all!

Gintama (Skip ep 1-2 if you want, its a filler and imo was bad ^^)
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
Ouran High School Host Club

These shows are fairly different from each other. Have fun picking one haha ^^
