i am specifically mentioning windows 8 as it is the most current problem with extremely limited compatibility

all you need to do to work around the compatibility issue is right click on the installer of the program yo are trying to install works on most files go down to properties click the compatibility tab there will be a compatibility mode box should be the second option after run compatibility troubleshooter check it and use the scroll box and select "windows xp service package 3" (if not already selected) due to windows 8 being run off of xpsp3 kernels it can run the XPSP3 version
if anybody is having this issue i hope i helped you out it bugged me when i first got my W8 laptop

I'm sorry to say but,Get rid of it.
Window's 8 is full of bugs and is really bad.
Go back to 7.
From an expert's point.
Running old things on an Win 8 is bad.

combat arms isnt old
most f2p mmo's arnen't old they dont have compatibility yet thaty why you need to run compatibility mode
its filled with bugs due to being new and every o.s. has loads of bugs

In my opinion also windows 8 is not that much of good, it is not supporting the all software and less features while compare to the other versions. It's better to use windows 7 only.
