Just a suggestion but change the BG so it looks like a drawing like the pic, or make it like the drawing is put on some sort of paper. Just a couple ideas.

Yeah deffinately agree with the above. Also the character could use some cleaning up still. Some of the edges still have the old background. It just seems a lil bare maybe try adding something, maybe an object,another character, or even some text would be nice.

its very nice and simple
anyway... maybe change the gradient in the background to a more pinky colour, like the one haruko has in her hair, but a little darker and nicer
and the character is pixely compared to the crisp background, maybe try to even them both out
The bg is too clean to fit with that pic. Make it dirtier, maybe add some grunge brushes and things like that ya know.
Also, I'm a bit iffy about that grid you used.
I like the grid, actually, but I think that the rather unsaturated look of Haruko and the bright, saturated background don't quite go together. As Dark said, some grunge brushes would be nice. There are some fantastic ones at Deviant Art. Mabye Clean up the image of Haruko a little bit, and if you want to go with a more grungy wp, get rid of the grid.
okay i don't know how to clear a pic but so does anybody have some pictures that would be nice to put on to this one don't look at the picture on it already.
